May 4, 2004 3rd Annual FDF Casino Night Sets New Record - $28,000!
Congratulations! The 3rd Annual Casino Night held on Saturday, May 1st set a new record. This wonderful Fran Delaney Foundation event raised more than $28,000.00 for ALS research! We just want to take a moment to share our sincere thanks with the entire Casino Night Leadership Team for the job they did in planning and managing an outstanding evening. The evening included a sit down dinner, entertainment, some powerful ALS messages, a Silent Auction, gambling, prizes and a number of raffles. We just don't know how the Team managed so much activity into the evening in such a flawless manner. We had more than 150 people join us at this very special event. I have had many of them call me or forward e-mails raving about how well the evening was managed and what a great time they had. A friend of mine brought his entire family and this was the first time he had attended an FDF event. He is currently doing some renovations on my house and he didn't get much done on Monday because he spent half the day telling me how much he and his guests enjoyed the evening! His wife was the Grand Prize Winner and they were thrilled! He did share something very special that I wanted to pass along to each of you. He said the people he met at this event were so warm and enthusiastic that he felt like he was among friends. He was. We want to thank everyone who volunteered their precious time to support the Casino Night. The dealers and the event volunteers were awesome. Our sincere thanks to the event sponsors NetJets, Paymentech and the Colatosti Family. Thanks also to our table sponsors and our friends who donated some very special gifts for the auction. The ImprovBoston comedy team contributed some fun entertainment and the White Cliffs staff did a great job. I do want to share some special thanks to the Casino Night Core Leadership Team of Michelle LaBelle, Don LaBelle, Andy Starr, John Chirichiello, Kathy Kimball and BJ Adams. Your leadership, planning and flat-out hard work made this another very special event. Thank you all. Warm regards, Fran Delaney |
