The Fran Delaney Fund Sky Meadow CC Annual Golf Tournament

A Sincere Message of Thanks - This Team is Awesome!

Hi Folks,

I'm not sure how to say thanks to all of you for such an outstanding day at Sky Meadow. We raised over $88,000.00, we had three corporate sponsors, ten major sponsors and more than 200 golfers join us in our event. Our Fran Delaney Fund Campaign has now contributed more than $1.1 Million Dollars in support of a cure for ALS.

I guess we have come to measure the success of our awareness and fundraising events in terms of dollars raised for research. My definition of success is much broader than simply the amount of money we raise. On Monday at Sky Meadow I saw a team of volunteers that planned, organized and managed a simply outstanding day! Our team was passionate, enthusiastic and willing to do whatever needed to be done to make sure this was a first -class event.

It's important to me that our sponsors and participants leave our event thinking, "That was a first-class event, I contributed to a good cause and I had a great time." Everyone that I talked with thought our Sky Meadow event was simply the best. Our Sky Meadow team of volunteers brings a positive, upbeat, friendly attitude that, in my opinion, sets the tone for the entire day. You make the day special!

I know it was a long day. I know you all have many demands in your life. I want you to know that the time, the talent, the effort and the commitment that you have demonstrated to make this day a success is very special to me, to my family and to the many patients fighting ALS today. Your work is making a difference in our fight to put an end to this devastating disease.

It is clear to me that this took a total team effort to make the day so special. I would, however, like to offer my special thanks to Lou Kobbs for his wonderful leadership, patience, planning and flat out hard work to make this event such a success. >
